Workshops and Retreats
Longer yoga sessions, workshops and retreats targeting specific areas are a good way to deepen your practice and to give yourself a bit of extra time away from a busy lifestyle. "When we have been able to devote longer to yoga (workshops or longer classes) the sessions are always carefully and considerately planned and organised. I feel a retreat enables me to go deeper into my practice and whatever comes up is supportively and kindly managed." Upcoming Retreats and Events Monthly online Sadhana practice - the first Sunday of each month. Free session. Contact me for the zoom link Monthly pranayama and gong relaxation - the last Sunday of each month 3-5pm at St Augustine's Church Hall, Richmond Road Cambridge https://www.tickettailor.com/events/cambridgekundalini
One to One Sessions Contact me to arrange a one off yoga lesson to work on particular issues you'd like to address. I also work with adults with special needs and carers and arrange regular classes specifically tailored to meet their needs. "By attending Lizzie’s yoga classes on a weekly basis with my daughter who has complex special needs we have found it has provided us with a great calming and destressing experience. It has increased her body awareness by its gentle approach and she consistently attempts to copy new poses. It has focused on trying to make her aware of her breathing to enable her to feel calmer and less anxious. It has given her a peaceful tranquil time to look forward to in her increasingly busy schedule and has been extremely beneficial to her. Lizzie has proven to be a patient, kind and reliable therapist who we would highly recommend." C2016 |
Sadhana
An essential part of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is your personal daily practice, called Sadhana. Your personal sadhana can be any practice that resonates with you, and for any length of time that works in your life. The most important thing is consistency! In all spiritual traditions, the early morning hours, right before sunrise, are the most powerful time of day to do your practice. Yogi Bhajan, Kundalini Yoga Master, gave this recommended sadhana, practised in the 2 1/2 hours before sunrise: 1) Reading of Japji – a spiritual text that teaches us that we are all connected to each other and that we are all connected to One Higher Consciousness (This is not a religion, as it is all inclusive for everyone and all belief systems) 2) Kundalini Kriya – a set of physical exercises to wake up the body and clear the energy channels to help us go deeper in meditation 3) Chanting of the Aquarian Mantras Morning Sadhana online- the first Sunday of each month from 5.30 am - 7.30 am. Use the contact form to get the link to the zoom session. There is no cost for Sadhana Corporate Classes I organise courses of classes for work settings - either during lunch hours or after work. "Lizzie has been providing in-house Yoga classes for us since 2015. Our employees love her sessions - even though we offer a wide range of on-site corporate fitness courses to our employees, Lizzie's Yogalates class has always been one of the most popular. We have even had a waiting list of people wanting to join her classes! We received so much positive feedback from our staff who has attended her sessions, including people with existing back problems - they all feel the benefits of regular Yogalates sessions. Thank you for your hard work Lizzie!" Cambridge Assessment2016 |
